New Classroom completed:)

Yay, our 6th Floor classroom is finally done. Its been a long time waiting and boy does it feel good to have it all complete:)

 Here is the other side of the classroom. We have been doing some finishing touches this week. The classroom will be up and ready to go by next week:) Yipppeeee!!!!
 Luv our custom made cubbies for our students to put their bags and tools.

 We have been busy prepping the 2/fl for our next phase of renovations. We will start Aug 5th-Aug 30th.....hopefully not any longer:) 
Our store will still be opened during normal business hours.   Please do excuse us as we will be making some adjustments during renovation. We apologize  for an inconvenience caused.

Summer Buzzing

We have been buzzing around preparing for quite a few exciting events.
Our new classroom is almost done and I cannot wait for all the dust to get wiped off and start teaching in there:)
Some of you may have received some of our latest news through our newsletters.
I have launched my new classes for the fall. My first class is the Designer Cheetah Bag cake. This is going to be great class.
I have taken it to another level and you will all have an opportunity to learn how to put some realistic jaw dropping details. Seriously your fans will not believe that it is all edible.
 Here are a few close ups of the bag. I love the ring details:)
 Many people often ask how I do the zipper so I decided to incorporate a zipper into this cake design.

More exciting news!!!Coming this Fall we will have the fabulous Louisa Ho teach her famous baking classes.  
  Louisa is the author of five books (Book Name: Louisa's Bakery) and her new range of books will launch in Sept 2013. Hip Hip Hooray!!!!!

Ms. Louisa Ho, the President of the Hong Kong Bakery & Confectionery Association, has over 40 years' experience in pastry making. She has won numerous awards and received her diploma in bread and cake making in the United Kingdom. Never baked before – let Louisa introduces you to the fantastic world of baking! Ms. Louisa will teach you essential techniques in making mouthwatering dessert cakes and cookies. These scrumptious desserts will be the star attraction of any dinner party!

First Day of Kids Camp

Told you I"d be back before a month:)
Today we had a marvelous time at our first day of Deelite Summer Kids camp.
Everyone was just so excited to get decorating and so was I. 
 I had blast watching Mommy and Kiddy bonding while getting creative. Good Ole fashion family fun:)
The best part was just watching all the kids get creative with their pops and expressing their personal style.
Kiddy's who were less than 8 years old came with there mommy's . 7 Years and up got to bring a best friend.
Here are our best tween friends rolling their cake pops. 

 I could tell my lil decorating stars could not wait to get their hands into the sprinkles so I tried by best to keep my demos short sweet and simple.

 All my lil cake pop pros received a Deelite certificate.

Happy Rainbow cakes and Deelite Renovation!

Its been what feels like a million years I know. Trust me when I say this i can't believe it has been almost a month since I"ve blogged it only felt like yesterday I promise:)

Renovation is well on its way and I'm so excited because we can finally see some visual progress!!! EEEEEEEEK. See...

We''ve also been very busy prepping our retail floor for our Grand renovation Sale. Yup you heard right, I'm not done with renovation yet its still going.......
After 6th floor we will be busy renovating the 2nd floor and when we're done with the 2nd floor ..........Yup you guessed right we'll be renovating the 3rd floor and when we're done with the 3rd floor we will be ALL DONE. Unfortunately, we 're not at the half way point yet so I won't spend too much time day dreaming about the end of the renovation:)

We've also been doing some really fun Rainbow theme party cakes. There has been a trend of one rainbow part after another so I thought I'd share some of our latest Rainbow creations:)
For a Lalaloopsy Doll extravaganza celebration we made this theme birthday cake with matching Lalaloopsy cookies too. We have a video to show you so I'll hold back on the cookies for another post:)
Inside of the cake is also Rainbow color.
 A classic rainbow celebration for the Young at heart!
 This is an oldie but a goody. We first started to do this design about 4 years ago. It has been one of our most popular cake since.
 Luv the Rainbow text on this cake.
 You can't go wrong with this classic  rainbow spangle cake:)
 For a 21st birthday celebration we made a giant Rainbow unicorn cake. I luved doing the Rainbow unicorn hair. We were so happy to get a special email from Unicorn fan.
" Thank you so much for allowing us to be apart of your Rainbow celebration!!! We loved making this cake:)
"Completely blown away with the cake you made for my daughter's 21st,Absolutely outstanding! An incredible artistic creation. Thank you so much.-JC"

 Also one of our most popular cutout cakes. Here's a Rainbow that will last as long as you want it to. And then gobble gobble gobble hmmmmm happy rainbow tummies:)
